Amanda Mendez am an Assistant Public Defender at the Law Offices of Julianne M. Holt. She graduated from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2018 and was admitted to practice law in Florida later that same year. Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of South Florida.
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois she benefited from city youth programs which led to her calling in advocating for those in need, especially for children that come from impoverished backgrounds.
Prior to being promoted, she advocated for children facing misdemeanor and felony charges in the Juvenile Division. When the courts closed due to the pandemic, she was one of the first attorneys to handle a virtual detention docket in Hillsborough County.
